- Women make up just 15 per cent of construction professionals in the UK—many occupy office‑based roles, while only 1 per cent work in manual roles.
- In the highest-paid roles, women represent a mere 9.2 per cent, yet they make up 29 per cent of the lowest-paid quartile.
- When it comes to leadership, only 7 per cent hold line executive roles.
- Senior management positions have seen modest gains, women fill around 16 per cent of these roles.
- Even if you’ve never had a female manager before, you’re not alone - 38 per cent of women in construction report this.
